Silicon Valley - Season 1

Fuckin
S01E01 Minimum Viable Product - 6-Apr-14
Richard Hendricks, a low-level programmer with fictitious Google clone "Hooli", lives in a technology incubator with fellow programmers Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti, Bertram Gilfoyle, Dinesh Chugtai and the owner of the "Hacker Hostel", Erlich Bachman. Richard is taunted by his work colleagues, especially over his "Pied Piper" app, a music copyright checker. However, when the curious Hooli engineers discover that his app contains a very powerful file compression algorithm, a bidding war begins. Richard finds himself caught between a $10 million buyout by Hooli CEO Gavin Belson, and a $200,000 investment from eccentric billionaire Peter Gregory. After having a panic attack and vomiting on the street, Monica, Peter Gregory's assistant, convinces Richard that he should maintain control of his company and simply take Peter's offer of an investment.
Sorry if I scared you. I know I have somewhat ghost-like features. My Uncle used to say, "You look like someone starved a virgin to death".
S01E02 The Cap Table - 13-Apr-14
After accepting an investment from Peter Gregory, Richard has to immediately deal with the demands of establishing the business. Luckily, the business-savvy Jared "Donald" Dunn had made a decision to leave Hooli and join Pied Piper. After evaluating Pied Piper's limited cash resources it becomes apparent that Big Head is not a good fit for the company. Richard initially refuses to cut Big Head, however Big Head is suddenly offered a huge raise and promotion at Hooli, where a team has begun to attempt a reverse-engineering of Pied Piper's compression algorithm.
Looks like a guy sucking a dick, and he
S01E03 Articles of Incorporation - 20-Apr-14
After they discover the Pied Piper name is already being used by a local irrigation company, Richard attempts to legally acquire the name. In their own attempt to resolve the problem, Jared, Dinesh and Gilfoyle brainstorm new names for the company, while Erlich decides to ingest hallucinogenic drugs and embark on a "vision quest" to discover new name possibilities. Meanwhile at Raviga, Peter Gregory becomes inexplicably obsessed with fast food and instructs his assistant to purchase one of each item on the Burger King menu. Surprisingly, after sampling the Burger King fare, he is able to make a remarkably shrewd business decision.
I wish this was Roman times. You know, life was simpler back then.
S01E04 Fiduciary Duties - 27-Apr-14
Richard panics after he learns that his company is one of eight file compression suites that Peter Gregory has invested in. At a lavish toga party hosted by Peter Gregory, Richard gets drunk and haphazardly offers Erlich a seat on the Pied Piper Board of Directors. Meanwhile at Hooli, the other engineers on the Nucleus team finally realize that Big Head has absolutely no knowledge of Pied Piper's compression algorithm. Subsequently, Big Head finds himself removed from the Nucleus project. However, he is not assigned to any new project, so he begins to spend his days on the roof eating snack food with the other Hooli employees who are "unassigned".
You see what he
S01E05 Signaling Risk - 4-May-14
Erlich hires Chuy, a local street artist, to create a new logo for Pied Piper. However, there is a problem when they discover the logo Chuy has painted on the garage door depicts an Aztec warrior version of Dinesh having sex with the Statue of Liberty. Meanwhile, everyone is surprised to learn that Pied Piper had been accepted into TechCrunch Startup Battlefield; something Richard had applied for before Raviga had invested in the company. When Richard offers to remove his application, Peter Gregory learns that Gavin Belson's "Nucleus" project has also entered, causing Peter Gregory to insist Pied Piper continues on into the competition.
You just brought piss to a shit fight.
S01E06 Third Party Insourcing - 11-May-14
To complete the cloud integration portion of the Pied Piper app in time for Tech Crunch, Richard hires Kevin "The Carver", an Adderall-addicted teenaged programmer. However, the Carver accidentally destroys the entire app, forcing the team to work together to recover their work. Meanwhile, Gilfoyle's hot girlfriend Tara visits the house. After Gilfoyle tells Dinesh that Tara wants to have sex with him, an embarrassed Dinesh finally agrees to the tryst, but soon discovers that Gilfoyle was playing him. Jared accepts a ride in Peter Gregory's driverless car, but ends up being trapped in the car and shipped to Peter's artificial island located on the International Date Line.
She invited me to her room to watch "Cloud Atlas" later tonight.
S01E07 Proof of Concept - 18-May-14
When Pied Piper arrives at TechCrunch Battlefield they are still working on their platform. To complicate matters, Richard has trouble concentrating due to the awkward presence of an ex-girlfriend. Meanwhile, Dinesh meets an attractive girl programmer. Aside from her good looks, he also falls in love with her apparent proficiency in Java programming. However, when Gilfoyle tells Dinesh that he was the one who actually wrote the girl's Java code Dinesh is dismayed. When Erlich realizes one of the judges of the Battlefield is a man whose wife he had an affair with years earlier, he attempts to remedy the situation. However, Erlich ends up having sex with the judge's new wife, which results in the judge attacking Erlich at the beginning of Pied Piper's presentation.
How fast do you think you could jack off every guy in this room? Because I know how long it would take me. And I can prove it.
S01E08 Optimal Tip-to-Tip Efficiency - 1-Jun-14
The TechCrunch organizers accept some responsibility for the brawl and decide to send Pied Piper straight through to the final Battlefield stage. However, the Pied Piper team is disappointed after seeing that the Nucleus team has developed an app with a "Weissman" compression score of 2.89, which is a similar score than their own. Dejected, the team heads back to their hotel room, where they randomly begin to mock up a mathematical model for Erlich to give handjobs to every male in the audience. After Richard takes in the beginning of the discussion, he seems to reach an epiphany and retreats into his room to begin coding. By the next morning Richard has completely rewritten parts of the Pied Piper app, however the rest of the team is completely unaware of what he has done. Richard does the presentation, slowly revealing that he has developed a new method of compression, named "middle-out", and demonstrates that he has achieved an astronomical Weissman score of 5.2. Pied Piper wins the Battlefield, and an embarrassed Gavin Belson walks away quietly.
